Liverpool versus Manchester City is being billed as a Premier League title showdown but the Citizens will arrive at Anfield in fourth place in the table – below Leicester and Chelsea.

The Foxes, 20-1 to finish in the top four at the start of the season, are now just 4-7 after their 2-0 home win over Arsenal put them second.

And Chelsea cemented their position in the top four with a sixth straight league win as goals from Tammy Abraham and Christian Pulisic saw off Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge. Frank Lampard’s men are 35-1 to win the title while 2015-16 champions Leicester are 50-1.

Southampton’s struggles continued as they lost 2-1 at home to Everton and the Saints are 7-5 to be relegated – third-favourites behind 1-4 Norwich and Watford at evens.

Sheffield United, ante-post favourites for the drop, are out to 13-2 after their 1-1 draw at Tottenham, who had been 4-7 to take three points. Burnley beat West Ham 3-0 and Newcastle saw off Bournemouth 2-1.

There were wins for the top two in the Sky Bet Championship betting – evens favourites Leeds and 5-2 West Brom – and Stoke have been eased to 15-8 for relegation after a 4-2 win at Barnsley in Michael O’Neill’s first game in charge of the Potters.

Kingstonian’s odds have been slashed for their FA Cup trip to Macclesfield, whose first-team players have gone on strike in protest at unpaid wages.

The Sky Bet League Two club have confirmed that the tie will go ahead with a team of youth players and non-league Kingstonian have been cut from 15-2 into odds-on for victory at Moss Rose.
