Saturday's betting preview

Fulham's matches are producing an average of 3.67 goals per game on their return to the Premier League and the Cottagers are unlikely to sit back against this weekend's visitors Everton.

Serbian striker Aleksandar Mitrovic has been the star of the show for last season's Championship winners, scoring nine top-flight goals and racking up more shots than any player in the division except for Manchester City's Erling Haaland.

Mitrovic is an obvious favourite in the goalscorer markets for the Everton game but Hills offer an enticing 7-1 about Andreas Pereira, who has impressed in a number-ten role in the early stages of his Fulham career, scoring at any time.

Pereira has been in the thick of the action recently, contributing three assists and a goal in his last four appearances, and he looks a juicy price to add to his tally against the Toffees.

It may pay to keep things simple in Tottenham's fixture at Bournemouth so the 10-3 about Harry Kane opening the scoring is well worth a bet.

VAR denied Kane a late 'winner' against Sporting in the Champions League on Wednesday night and he could take out his frustration on the Cherries, who are among his favourite opponents.

The England captain has scored seven times in eight appearances against Bournemouth, who have failed to find the net in seven of their 12 league matches, and only the phenomenal Haaland has more than Kane's ten goals in this season's top flight.

Aston Villa's players seemed to step up their intensity level when they thrashed Brentford 4-0 last weekend in their first match after the sacking of Steven Gerrard and they will have to work hard to keep pace with a well-drilled, energetic and confident Newcastle side.

Villa forward Danny Ings picked up his third yellow card in 11 league appearances this season against the Bees, having also been booked twice in his last seven outings of 2021-22.

Ings will be expected to put himself about in an attempt to ruffle the home defence at St James' Park and he is worth a small bet at 4-1 to be cautioned by Paul Tierney, who has brandished 40 yellow cards and two reds in his nine Premier League matches this term.
