Sean Dyche has been installed as the 2-1 favourite with Coral to be named next Bournemouth manager after the Cherries sacked Scott Parker after just four games of the new Premier League campaign.

Parker had been 14-1 with Coral and Ladbrokes to be the first top-flight manager to leave his post at the start of the season, but Saturday's 9-0 defeat against Liverpool at Anfield prompted the Cherries' board to wield the axe.

That hammering was Bournemouth’s third straight Premier League loss after they were also beaten 4-0 at Manchester City and 3-0 at home to Arsenal.

Parker guided Bournemouth to promotion from the Championship last season and helped them record a 2-0 win at home to Aston Villa on the opening day, but owner Maxim Demin opted to part ways with the coach on Tuesday morning.

Parker had said his team were "ill-equipped at this level" after Saturday’s humiliating defeat at Anfield and his criticism of the recruitment and spending was not taken lightly by Demin.

Bournemouth now need to act to find a manager capable of steering them to top-flight survival and former Burnley boss Dyche is the early favourite.

Dyche was sacked by Burnley in April, bringing an end to a ten-year spell at Turf Moor, but he had kept the Clarets in the Premier League for five successive seasons, as well as guiding them into the Europa League in 2017-18.

Gary O'Neil, who will take interim charge of Bournemouth against Wolves on Wednesday night, is 6-1 to be named Parker's permanent replacement while Middlesbrough manager Chris Wilder is an 8-1 chance.

Wilder led Sheffield United to the Premier League in 2019 and helped the Blades record a top-half finish in their first campaign back in the top flight.

Sam Allardyce is also 8-1 while Shota Arveladze, who has made a solid start to life as Hull manager, is available at 12-1.

The Cherries are 1-3 across the board for Premier League relegation while they are 7-5 with Betfair and Paddy Power to finish bottom.

Having taken just one point from their first four games and with a visit from Manchester United on the horizon on Thursday, Leicester’s Brendan Rodgers is the 6-5 favourite to be next Premier League manager out.
