Newcastle may strike a blank at Arsenal

Newcastle have taken one point from their last eight games and their slide looks set to continue with a defeat at the Emirates.

The Magpies are the top scorers among the bottom five but they looked desperately short on confidence during Wednesday's 1-0 loss at home to Everton.

Rafa Benitez may get some additional January funds if the club's takeover goes through but he could do with adding some points before then.

However, that is unlikely to happen against an Arsenal side smarting from their failure to beat West Ham.
