Misery for Merseyside as Everton and Liverpool beaten

That was the combined score in Sunday's Premier League matches as Tottenham thumped Liverpool 4-1 at Wembley and Arsenal caned Everton 5-2.

Ronald Koeman will do well to survive the heavy defeat at Goodison Park and, even though a number of other managers are under pressure, the Dutchman is a strong favourite to be the next manager out.

Arsenal are 6-4 to finish in the top four this season, while their north London neighbours may have loftier ambitions following their resounding success against Liverpool.

Tottenham, who joined Manchester United in second spot, five points behind Manchester City, are 11-1 to win the title and are sure to gain huge confidence from beating an elite rival by a wide margin at Wembley.

Mauricio Pochettino's team raced into a 2-0 lead thanks to strikes from Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son as a breathless first half eventually ended 3-1 with Mohamed Salah and Dele Alli trading goals.

Kane's second ended the match as a contest and the England hitman hit the top of the Premier League Golden Boot charts with eight for the season. Kane is 11-8 to win his third straight Golden Boot, while bet365 offer 9-2 that he breaks the Premier League goalscoring record of 32 goals in a season.
