Match preview

Brighton have recorded successive away wins at Arsenal and Tottenham, but a trip to title chasers Manchester City may be a step too far for the Seagulls.

Graham Potter’s side were worthy winners at Spurs, who failed to register a shot on target, on Saturday while City were beaten 3-2 by title rivals Liverpool in the FA Cup semi-finals at Wembley.

However, the Premier League title is still in City’s hands after their 2-2 draw with the Reds at the Etihad earlier this month and this is a test they are unlikely to fail.

City should ultimately make their class tell, but Brighton can be competitive and backing the Citizens to record a low-scoring triumph appeals.

With just 29 goals in 32 games, Brighton are the third-lowest scorers in the Premier League but they are well-organised and rarely suffer damaging defeats. Only three of those top-flight fixtures have featured four or more goals, so take City to grind them down in a narrow win.

Key stat

Six of Manchester City's last eight wins in the Premier League have featured three goals or fewer.
