Manchester City v Wolves Bet Builder preview

Man City-Man City double result

Manchester City have scored first-half goals in each of their last five Premier League games – all of them victories – and a fast start could pave the way for a comfortable success over Wolves.

The challenge for Wolves is to try and stay in the game for as long as possible and force City to take a few more risks, exposing themselves to swift counter-attacks.

However, Pep Guardiola comes up against a similar approach from opposing teams every week and will be demanding a repeat of the intensity his team showed from the first whistle of last Saturday's 3-1 success at Watford.

City started at a furious pace at Vicarage Road, scoring twice inside 31 minutes, and another high-tempo opening could set the tone against Wolves.

Wolves to score under one goal

Wolves are the second-lowest scorers in the Premier League with just 12 goals and they may struggle to find the net at the Etihad.

Bruno Lage's men have managed only one goal in their last five league fixtures and registered just three shots during last Saturday's 1-0 loss at home to Liverpool.

The match against City could take a similar pattern and it seems likely that Wolves will be shut out for a fifth time in six matches.

Ruben Neves to receive a yellow card

Wolves will be doing their utmost to stem the flow of Manchester City attacks and there is every chance of their midfielders overstepping the mark.

Ruben Neves has been booked five times in his last 11 club appearances and he looks a strong yellow-card candidate.
