Man Utd or draw double chance

Manchester United have a superb recent record at the Etihad – winning on three of their last four league visits – and they look overpriced to take at least a point this weekend.

The Red Devils were heavily criticised after drawing 0-0 at home to Watford last Saturday, but they are often more effective on the road and haven't lost on their travels since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer left the club in November.

Manchester City are a fantastic team but they showed their defensive vulnerability when losing 3-2 at home to Tottenham and they might suffer another blow to their title hopes.

Cristiano Ronaldo to score

Big matches are often decided by the biggest players and the stage could be set for United icon Cristiano Ronaldo to deliver a match-winning contribution.

Ronaldo has saved some his best efforts for Champions League nights when United often have to play on the counter and the pattern of play against City could be very similar.

The 37-year-old has the intelligence and the pace to beat the City press and he is unlikely to need a second invitation if afforded a clear sight of goal.

Rodri to be booked

Rodri was at the centre of attention when Everton's claims for a penalty were waved away by referee Paul Tierney at Goodison last Saturday, and he looks a strong candidate for a booking this weekend.

The 25-year-old has been carded seven times this season and his decision-making will be tested by United, who are sure to play on the break.

Rodri carries the greatest responsibility for ensuring breakaways are snuffed out at source and a poorly-timed challenge could see him enter referee Michael Oliver's notebook.
