Manchester City v Leeds Bet Builder preview

Man City-Man City double result

Manchester City had to show plenty of patience when winning 1-0 at home to Wolves on Saturday but are likely to achieve an earlier breakthrough against Leeds, setting the tone for a comfortable home victory.

The Citizens were up against a very well-organised Wolves side at the weekend and needed a controversial penalty to pave the way to success.

However, they should fine it easier to create openings against Leeds, who are not the sort of side to play for a 0-0 draw.

Leeds are conditioned to press their opponents at every opportunity but the tactic could play into the hands of City, who have the quality and composure to play themselves out of tight situations.

Leeds not to score

Leeds can be an exciting team to watch – as they showed when losing 3-2 at Chelsea on Saturday – but they have scored just 17 goals in 16 Premier League games and may struggle to breach the division's tightest defence.

Injured striker Patrick Bamford has been a huge miss for Leeds, who have failed to score in four of their last seven away fixtures.

The Yorkshire side like to attack at every opportunity but clear sights of goal could be a rarity against City, who have kept nine league clean sheets this season.

Raheem Sterling to score anytime

Raheem Sterling struggled for game time and goals in the early part of the season but he has come to the fore in recent weeks and looks as likely as anyone to find the net against Leeds.

The 27-year-old has been confirmed as one of the six nominees for the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Award and should be full of confidence after netting five goals in his last nine appearances.
