Liverpool have won their last ten Premier League meetings with Crystal Palace and they have been leading at half-time in their last five victories over the Eagles.

Jurgen Klopp was unimpressed by his side's start in the 2-2 draw at Fulham, where their goals came in the 64th and 80th minutes, so the Reds may well fly out of the traps at Anfield.

Crystal Palace posed a limited threat away from home last season, winning only four of their 19 road fixtures, and they started the 2022-23 campaign with a 2-0 home defeat to Arsenal.

The Eagles are a solid unit under Patrick Vieira but still lack a cutting edge up front and backing under 3.5 goals, which copped in ten of their 12 meetings with last season's top six, could be profitable.

Crystal Palace right-back Nathaniel Clyne knows all about the atmosphere at Anfield, having made 77 Premier League appearances for Liverpool, and he faces a tricky test on his return to Merseyside.

Clyne was booked in the season opener against Arsenal for a foul on speedy Gunners winger Gabriel Martinelli and he is likely to be up against Liverpool's Luis Diaz, another ace dribbler, on Monday.

Palace's 4-3-3 formation can leave their full-backs exposed – right-back Joel Ward was booked eight times in 27 league starts last term – and Clyne could have his work cut out against Diaz and rampaging left-back Andy Robertson.
