Match preview
Manchester United arrive in Leicester for the latest leg of their all-conquering Premier League tour and look set to claim another victory.
Ordinary in front of their own imaginary fans but unstoppable in front of everyone else's, it's hard to find grounds to oppose Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men at the King Power.
Leicester are in solid form and buzzing following Sunday's 2-0 success at Tottenham.
But the reality is that all the hardship and angst Solskjaer has had to endure trying to work out his best team, formation and playing style, finally appears to be paying off and with confidence sky-high they get the nod.
United go into this crunch tussle having posted an excellent 2-0 win at Everton in the League Cup. Two late goals settled the tie, although United should have been out of sight by half time and were the much better team.
Solskjaer pulled off the win having made nine changes from the side who crushed Leeds 6-2 last weekend which also means a handful of key figures have effectively enjoyed a week off.
They have won all six Premier League away games this season, making it ten in a row on their travels in the top flight, and they have scored at least twice in each of those ten.
The reason they are so effective away is that they have pace on the counter, something which Leicester are blessed with as well. It's why the Foxes are doing better away from home this season with 67 per cent of their points accrued in away games. They have lost four of seven at home.
This is a game which looks as if it will produce goals given the attacking zip in each camp. Both teams like to double up out wide with attacking full-backs helping out the wingers which keeps the game stretched, and it's crucial therefore that the likes of McTominay, Fred, Ndidi and Tielemans don't allow playmakers James Maddison and Bruno Fernandes too much space to run the show.
Ultimately, though, this promises to be very open. Leicester's home games and United's away combined produce an average of 3.7 goals per game.
The other thing that we look set to see if the stats play out is a penalty – no team has had more than Leicester (nine) while United are in a group of teams who have had five. It's why Jamie Vardy and Fernandes will be warm orders in first-scorer betting.
Key stat
Leicester have secured nine of their 27 points in home games
