Team news
Leicester
Leicester could have Nampalys Mendy back in the matchday squad after he sat out the defeat at Bournemouth with a minor knock. Wilfred Ndidi is expected to undergo a late fitness test, but Timothy Castagne should start despite suffering a cut eye at the Vitality Stadium.
Crystal Palace
Palace are still without the injured James McArthur, Chris Richards and Nathaniel Clyne, so Patrick Vieira could stick with the same team that started the win over Leeds. Jordan Ayew was replaced midway through the second half after suffering a head wound, but should be fit to feature.
Match preview
Leicester appear to have taken one step forward and two steps back and the pressure is growing by the day on boss Brendan Rodgers.
Their 4-0 win over Nottingham Forest earlier this month papered over the cracks but defeat at Bournemouth has again left the former Celtic boss near the top of the sack race market.
The Foxes are rock bottom with just one win in their opening nine games and are shipping goals at an alarming rate, having conceded 24 goals, the most of any Premier League team.
Fingers have been pointed at Danny Ward, who is the only goalkeeper in the Premier League to have saved fewer than half of the shots (46 per cent) he has faced this season.
The only plus for Leicester is at the other end of the pitch - Rodgers' men have scored 15 times in the league, the second-best tally of any team in the bottom half of the table.
Meanwhile, Palace go into the game five points and five places above their opponents, but without a Premier League away win this term.
Don’t read too much into that, though, as their three fixtures on the road have been at Liverpool, Newcastle and Manchester City and they collected a point at Anfield and St James’ Park.
The Eagles' win over Leeds last week was just deserts for the way they have been playing and a win at the King Power Stadium could leave them in the top half come the end of the weekend.
Palace star Wilfried Zaha has bagged four goals this season and enjoys a good recent record against Leicester. He could be the key to an away success and looks a decent bet to get on the scoresheet.
The head-to-head stats do make good reading for Leicester, who are unbeaten in their last six games against Palace, and it’s also worth noting that both teams have scored in each of their last four meetings, including a 2-1 win for the hosts in this fixture last season.
Key stat
Wilfried Zaha has three goals in the last four meetings between the sides and has scored in three of Palace’s last four trips to the King Power.
