Joachim Andersen is available after his red card at Newcastle was rescinded. Southampton loanee Mario Lemina is ineligible. Manager Scott Parker is self-isolating and will not be in the dugout.

Southampton
Danny Ings is a doubt and Oriol Romeu is suspended so Ibrahima Diallo could make his first league start for the Saints in midfield.

Match preview

The ante-post relegation market anticipated a tough season for Championship playoff winners Fulham so it is not a huge surprise to see them in the bottom three at Christmas.

However, there have been real signs of hope for Scott Parker's side recently and they are worth backing to pick up a valuable point at home to Southampton.

Fulham looked a soft touch on their return to the Premier League, conceding ten goals in their first three games against Arsenal, Leeds and Aston Villa.

Their only point from their first six league matches came against bottom club Sheffield United but a 2-0 home win over fellow promoted club West Brom at the start of November sparked an impressive run of form.

Missed penalties cost them a point in narrow defeats to West Ham and Everton before a 2-1 win at Leicester, a predictable 2-0 defeat at Manchester City, and three straight draws with champions Liverpool, Brighton and Newcastle.

They led 1-0 against Newcastle before a disputed penalty and red card subsequently overturned for defender Joachim Andersen and they will be aiming to build on their promising performances against Southampton.

Saints have enjoyed a super start to the campaign, going top of the table in November, but their only wins in their last six games have come against struggling Brighton and Sheffield United.

They have drawn their last two away games 1-1, at Wolves and ten-man Arsenal, and key striker Danny Ings is an injury doubt after last weekend's 1-0 home defeat to Manchester City.

Key stat

Eight of Fulham's last 11 matches have featured under 2.5 goals.
