Team news
Crystal Palace
Nathan Ferguson and James McArthur are sidelined but Joachim Andersen has been passed fit after missing out against Everton.
Southampton
Adam Armstrong and Armando Broja came off injured against Arsenal and are doubts. Che Adams and Stuart Armstrong are out while Willy Caballero will continue in goal.
Match preview
Southampton have taken just five points from eight away games this season and could endure another fruitless awayday when they visit Selhurst Park.
The Saints' sole away victory came against fellow strugglers Watford and they have taken just two points from their last five games.
Hosts Crystal Palace, meanwhile, have lost just once at Selhurst Park this season and were comfortable 3-1 victors over Everton at home on Sunday.
An injury crisis in Southampton’s forward line could also prove pivotal on Wednesday night. Both Adam Armstrong and Armando Broja came off against Arsenal at the weekend and are doubtful, while Che Adams is definitely out.
That may force Ralph Hasenhuttl into assembling a makeshift front two, but outside of that trio the rest of the Saints squad have scored just five goals between them so it may pay to back Palace to continue their strong home form.
Key stat
Southampton have taken two points from their last five games.
