Match preview

Crystal Palace have won only once at home in the Premier League since the first lockdown but look to have a better chance than the odds suggest of making it two against Leeds.

Both these sides have won three, lost three with a draw apiece with Marcelo Bielsa's men just ahead of Palace on goal difference.

But while there's nothing between them in the table, there is in the eyes of the layers who rate Palace 2-1 shots on home soil and that doesn't look a bad price at all.

Palace have a change to make after last week's 2-0 defeat at Wolves where Luka Milivojevic was sent off. He didn't look the right fit to go alongside Jairo Riedewald anyway – they are too similar – so the return of the more box-to-box James McArthur improves the Eagles immediately.

Roy Hodgson has a decision to make with Michy Batshuayi, who has started the last three and not scored, although Jordan Ayew is also available to slot in alongside Wilfried Zaha if selected.

Leeds will look to play on the front foot at Selhurst Park which is probably preferable if you're thinking of backing Roy Hodgson's men, who are at their most dangerous using Zaha, Andros Townsend and Jeffrey Schlupp on fast breaks.

Promoted Leeds are as much of a mixed bag as Palace.

They've had some good results, a 1-1 draw with Manchester City, for example, and a 3-0 win at Aston Villa. They also showed a staggering supply of self-belief in their opening fixture, that 4-3 loss at Liverpool.

But they were well beaten at home by Leicester on Monday night where Robin Koch had a nightmare, although he wasn't the only one.

Key stat

Palace have scored more than one goal in just one of their last 12 home league matches.
