Nayef Aguerd (ankle) and Ben Johnson (thigh) are sidelined but Gianluca Scamacca (illness) is in contention.
Match preview
West Ham have enjoyed some good moments against Chelsea in recent times – winning three of the last six league clashes – and they can dig out a point at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
Pressure is mounting on Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel, who has overseen just two wins in five matches this season.
Tuchel was heavily backed in the transfer window, but his team remain just as inconsistent as they were towards the end of last season. The Blues have won only six of their last 15 Premier League fixtures and Tuchel could have no complaints about Tuesday's 2-1 loss at Southampton.
Chelsea lacked intensity on the south coast and it is plain to see how much they are missing injured midfielder N'Golo Kante.
West Ham may sense an opportunity but they are disadvantaged by the short turnaround having contested a hard-fought 1-1 draw with Tottenham on Wednesday.
The Hammers felt slightly aggrieved at dropping two points against Spurs but they would probably settle for another derby draw this weekend.
Key stat
Chelsea have drawn five of their last 12 matches.
