Team news
Chelsea
Callum Hudson-Odoi, Reece James and Andreas Christensen have been back in training and could be involved but Kepa Arrizabalaga and Saul Niguez are doubts. Ben Chilwell remains sidelined.
Brentford
Josh Dasilva is back from suspension and in contention but Julian Jeanvier and Saman Ghoddos are doubts. Christian Eriksen could start.
Match preview
With key contests in the Champions League and FA Cup on the horizon, the Premier League is likely to be low on Chelsea's list of priorities and Saturday's clash with Brentford could be a tepid affair.
Although they must be cautious not to slip out of the top four, the Blues are too far off Manchester City and Liverpool to forge a title challenge and look assured of third spot.
They could already have one eye on Wednesday's Champions League clash with Real Madrid and are unlikely to throw everything they have at the Bees, who have created some breathing space between themselves and the drop zone.
With both teams potentially set to adopt more conservative approaches, a low-scoring game could be on the cards and under 2.5 goals looks a good bet.
Five of Chelsea's last nine matches have featured no more than two goals and this could be a fairly forgettable west London derby.
Key stat
Four of Brentford's last seven games have featured under 2.5 goals.
