Cardiff won back-to-back Premier League fixtures for the first time in the club's history before last week's FA Cup action gave Neil Warnock's men a much-needed break, but the hiatus could have done them more harm than good.

Opponents Watford will be buzzing after making the cup quarter-finals with a victory over QPR and, in hot pursuit of seventh spot in the league, Javi Gracia's men should have too much for the Bluebirds.

Watford can boast five clean sheets in their last six matches in all competitions and they were 3-2 victors in the reverse fixture in December, when they dominated the shot count 17-10 and had 72 per cent possession.

Recommendation
Watford
1pt 7-5 general

Team news
Cardiff
Victor Camarasa (calf) faces a late fitness test and could return but defender Sean Morrison is a doubt.

Watford
Roberto Pereyra is set to come back into the side having been out since January with a calf concern but Kiko Femenia (hamstring) remains sidelined.

Key stat
Only Fulham (26) have conceded more home goals than Cardiff (23) in the Premier League.
