Match preview

Leeds have put themselves in a strong position to return to the Premier League following a 16-year absence, but the Sky Bet Championship title challengers may have to settle for a point on their return to action at playoff-chasing Cardiff.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side won their final five games to nil before football came to a halt but there is little margin for error in their odds-on price against a Cardiff team who are tough to thwart on home turf.

The Bluebirds, who are still in the playoff hunt in the second tier, have lost only two of their 18 home league games this season.

Cardiff have shared the spoils on eight occasions, holding highflying trio Fulham, Preston and Brentford to draws, and are taken to restrict silverware-seeking Leeds to a similar result.

Key stat

Leeds have won only three of their last eight away league games.
