Match preview

Reality TV fans will know Turf Moor as the 'happy place' of Burnley fan and Radio 1 DJ Jordan North, but it hasn't been such a cherished home for the Clarets this season.

Sean Dyche's strugglers, who begin the approaching hectic schedule 18th in the Premier League, have won just once, drawn two and lost four of their seven home outings in all competitions this season.

However, some context is required. Burnley's defeats in that run have been at the hands of Tottenham, Chelsea, Southampton and Manchester City, and there have been positive signs in recent weeks that the Clarets are starting to display the grit we have become accustomed to under Sean Dyche.

A customary 5-0 thumping at City aside - they've lost by that scoreline on their last four visits to the Etihad - Burnley have not suffered defeat since October 31, which includes 1-0 wins at home to Crystal Palace and, more impressively, at Arsenal.

If Turf Moor hasn't been a happy place for its tenants this term, it has been just as unwelcoming for Monday's visitors Wolves down the years.

Wanderers have won just one of their last six matches at the Lancashire venue with the Old Gold's only win in that time coming in the sides' first Premier League meeting in March 2010.

Nuno's men are favourites to set that record straight on this occasion but given their inconsistency on the road and injury problems, it looks worth taking them on.

Wolves have won at Sheffield United, Leeds and Arsenal on their travels this term but they have also been thumped 4-0 at West Ham and Liverpool as well as losing 1-0 at Midlands rivals Leicester.

They recorded only a second win in six outings against Chelsea last week, coming from a goal down to beat the Blues courtesy of Pedro Neto's 90th-minute winner. But victory came at a cost as Leander Dendoncker and Wily Boly both picked up knocks, joining attacking focal point Raul Jimenez on the sidelines.

Wolves still have plenty of attacking threats, such as Neto and Daniel Podence, who was also on the scoresheet against Chelsea, but there is a sense that Burnley are taking them on at the right time.

Seven of the Clarets' last nine Premier League games have contained two goals or fewer and if Burnley are to succeed, those defensive foundations look sure to be pivotal.

Key stat

Burnley have picked up nine of their ten points this season in their last six games
