Team news
Burnley
Ben Mee featured against Tottenham in midweek and looks set to play his first league game since September. Dale Stephens is the only long term absentee.
Brentford
Goalkeeper David Raya will be out for at least four months with knee ligament damage, while Bryan Mbuemo and Ethan Pinnock were rested in midweek and are likely to be fit. Yoane Wissa, Vitaly Janelt, Mads Sorensen and Josh Da Silva are all set to miss out.
Match preview
Two goals from new signing Maxwel Cornet were not enough for Burnley to pick up their opening win of the season last weekend and their wait may continue as they host Brentford.
Only Norwich have scored fewer goals than Burnley’s seven this season and the Clarets have now gone 14 top-flight home games without a win.
Brentford on the other hand have started life in the Premier League with a bang, taking 12 points from their opening nine games. Thomas Frank’s side will have counted themselves unlucky not to have gotten anything against Chelsea and Leicester also.
The Bees are unbeaten in four games on the road and picked up a midweek away win at Stoke in the EFL Cup. The loss of goalkeeper David Raya will be felt but the Bees should have too much for a blunt Burnley side.
Key stat
Burnley have gone 14 Premier League home games without a win.
