Manchester City have set a new points record for a Premier League season but they are still not assured of finishing top of the ante-post handicap market.

The Citizens were the scratch team on the handicap and their 97-point total puts them neck-and-neck with Burnley, who received handicap starts of between 43 and 45 points.

The majority of bookmakers handed the Clarets a 43-point start, pushing their current handicap total up to 97 points.

But Betfred gave Burnley 45 points, enough for a two-point handicap lead over City going into the last round of matches. The Clarets are at home to Bournemouth while City visit Southampton.

Watford, Brighton and Huddersfield are battling it out for the minor places on the handicap with their handicap totals ranging between 83 and 85 points.

The Hornets received starts of between 42 and 44 points, while Brighton and Huddersfield were getting 43 to 45 and 46 to 48 points.
