Team news

Tariq Lamptey misses out again due to a hamstring injury while Jose Izquierdo and Florin Andone remain sidelined. Adam Lallana and Danny Welbeck should be passed fit.

Wolves
Jonny and Raul Jimenez are long-term absentees while Willy Boly and Leander Dendoncker are unlikely to feature.

Match preview

Home advantage hasn't helped Brighton much this season and Tuesday's 1-0 defeat to Arsenal extended their winless streak at the Amex Stadium to 12 matches.

The Seagulls have beaten only two of their last 21 league visitors to the south coast and they were also stuffed 3-0 at home by Manchester United in the EFL Cup this season.

Opponents Wolves made United work far harder before succumbing to a deflected Marcus Rashford winner in the 93rd minute at Old Trafford but they have little to fear from their trip to Brighton.

Nuno's men are missing some key players with Willy Boly and Leander Dendoncker likely to join Jonny and last season's top scorer Raul Jimenez on the sidelines.

But they have competed well during a brutal run of fixtures in November and December and their sound defence makes them a solid draw-no-bet selection against the toothless Seagulls.

Wolves were thumped 4-0 by Liverpool at Anfield but they have beaten Chelsea at home and Arsenal away in recent weeks and claimed a 1-1 draw with Tottenham before the trip to Old Trafford.

They lost by one-goal margins against Leicester, Aston Villa, Burnley and United, with the Foxes and Villa beating Rui Patricio only from the penalty spot.

The draw is a big runner as these teams have scored just 33 goals in 32 league games between them this term.

However, the onus is on Brighton to attack, having won only once in their last 14 league games, and that could play into the hands of Nuno's well-drilled visitors.

Key stat

Brighton have won only two of their last 21 home Premier League matches.
