Team news
Brighton
Brighton are still without Jose Izquierdo and Steven Alzate is a doubt. Shane Duffy and Dale Stephens are pushing for starts.
Liverpool
Andy Robertson and James Milner are expected to be available but Dejan Lovren remains a doubt. Roberto Firmino, Jordan Henderson and Georginio Wijnaldum started on the bench for the win over Villa and could be restored to the starting line-up.
Match preview
Jurgen Klopp has guided Liverpool to their first Premier League title in 30 years and the new champions can keep up their quest of breaking the 100-point barrier with victory over Brighton.
Liverpool require 12 points from their last five games to beat Manchester City's record of 100 points in a season but with fixtures against Arsenal and Chelsea to come, Klopp may have prioritised the trip to the coast as one his side should claim maximum points from.
The Reds were routed 4-0 by Manchester City in their first game back after lifting the title but responded in the style of champions when running out comfortable 2-0 winners at home to relegation-threatened Aston Villa three days later.
Klopp insists his team are not going to take their foot off the gas and with records still in sight there’s no reason to think his relentless Reds will shy away from the challenge.
The German may ring the changes as they prepare for a fifth game in 17 days but one area unlikely to be revised is his defence, which should at least ensure Liverpool are difficult to breach.
Liverpool have kept clean sheets in 13 of their last 18 Premier League games and both teams have scored in only one of their last nine away assignments.
Although they have fired blanks in their last three league road trips to Watford, Everton and City, it would be hasty to assume Liverpool have travel issues and they should respond with a narrow victory.
Brighton have not yet ensured their Premier League survival but with a nine-point buffer to Aston Villa and Bournemouth in 18th and 19th it would be a surprise if they were lured into the relegation scrap.
The Seagulls have failed to score in two of their four games since the season restarted - against Leicester and Manchester United - and they were hard-fought 1-0 winners at basement boys Norwich last time out having registered just two shots on target.
This is unlikely to be a Premier League classic and backing Liverpool to win in a match featuring three or fewer goals looks the best betting approach.
Key stat
There have been three or fewer goals in each of Brighton’s last eight Premier League home games.
