Team news

Brentford
Kristoffer Ajer is out for at least six weeks while Mads Sorensen, Yoane Wissa, Shandon Baptiste, David Raya and Josh Dasilva are also sidelined. Bryan Mbeumo could start.

Norwich
The Canaries will once again be without Sam Byram, Todd Cantwell and Christoph Zimmermann but Ben Gibson is available after suspension.

Match preview

Brentford and Norwich both gained promotion from the Championship last season but one side is faring much better than the other in this season's Premier League.

While Norwich are rock bottom with no wins from ten matches, Brentford are nestled in mid-table with 12 points, although the hosts are on a run of three consecutive defeats.

The Bees should get plenty of chances to try and snap that streak against the Canaries, though, and main man Ivan Toney is the likeliest to take advantage.

Toney has scored only three goals in all competitions this term but he was lively in defeat to Burnley last time out, managing four shots.

Norwich have looked no better than second-tier quality this season and, given Toney fired 33 goals in the Championship last campaign, this could be a great opportunity for him to rediscover the scoring thread.

Key stat

Norwich are conceding 2.5 goals per Premier League game this season.
