Preview

Bournemouth’s mini-revival under Gary O’Neil appears over and the Cherries look ripe to be picked off by a frustrated Tottenham on Saturday.

Spurs were vexed by a late VAR intervention that denied them victory against Sporting in the Champions League on Wednesday, the draw extending their winless run in all competitions to three games after back-to-back league losses to Newcastle and Manchester United.

The two sides share a common enemy in VAR with O’Neill bemoaning two video-referred decisions that went against the Cherries in Monday’s defeat at West Ham.

That made it consecutive league losses for Bournemouth, who have struggled to muster much going forward in both defeats and now return home to the Vitality Stadium, where they’ve failed to score in four of their six games this season.

Expect Bournemouth to cede possession and territory to a Tottenham team who aren't full of goals since the injuries to Dejan Kulusevski and Richarlison.

So it'll likely be down to Harry Kane again to drag Spurs back to winning ways and he could make the crucial intervention in a low-scoring away win.

Key stat

Harry Kane has scored more Premier League goals against Bournemouth (seven in eight games) than the Cherries have bagged against Spurs (five in 10 games).
