Team news

Aston Villa
Douglas Luiz faces a late test on an ankle injury, while John McGinn is doubtful and Jacob Ramsey is also unlikely to feature. World Cup winner Emi Martinez could return in goal.

Wolves
Chiquinho, Pedro Neto and Sasa Kalajdzic are all out long-term.

Match preview

Aston Villa and Wolves have brought in experienced Spanish managers to help them claw away from relegation trouble, and former Arsenal boss Unai Emery has probably had the greater effect at Villa Park.

Villa have won three of the four league games under his guidance, the latest of which was an impressive 2-0 success at Tottenham on New Year's Day.

And while Julen Lopetegui's Wolves claimed a valuable 2-1 win over Everton in their last away game, there is a feeling that Villa are a little further down the road, especially as their opponents have scored just ten goals all season.

So the home team should hold the advantage, despite injury concerns over Douglas Luiz and John McGinn, and striker Ollie Watkins can set them on their way.

He was a thorn in Tottenham's side last week and scored in both the defeat to Liverpool and the League Cup loss at Manchester United, so he can rise to the occasion again.

Wolves have won just two of their last 11 Premier League matches.
