Aston Villa v Everton Bet Builder preview

Over 2.5 goals

Last season's meeting at Villa Park ended goalless, just 12 days after Aston Villa had won 2-1 at Goodison Park, but more goalmouth action can be expected this time around.

Three of Everton's four league matches have produced over 3.5 goals and both defences have looked shaky at times this term.

Over 9.5 corners

Dean Smith is still working out his best formation for the post-Jack Grealish era but either a 4-3-3 or 3-5-2 set-up should enable Villa to attack down the flanks.

They won 11 of the 15 corners awarded at Chelsea last weekend and Everton's four league games have produced 14, 13, nine and ten flag-kicks.

John McGinn to be shown a card

Everton have some robust central-midfield options in Allan, Andre Gomes and Abdoulaye Doucoure but Villa's John McGinn never shies away from a battle.

Bookings are a regular occupational hazard for the Scotland midfielder, who picked up 44 yellow cards in his last four seasons for Villa and Hibernian and was cautioned at Chelsea last time out.
