Football accumulator tips for Wednesday March 9: PSG key to 8-1 acca

Parisians can confirm superiority but Man City may not shutout Sporting

The are two contrasting Champions League ties on Wednesday night with Manchester City's second leg against Sporting seeing the Portuguese champions faced with the unenviable task of overturning a 5-0 deficit at the Etihad.

However, the other last-16 tie is sure to be enthralling with Paris Saint-Germain taking a 1-0 lead to the Bernabeu as they seek to pip Real Madrid to a place in the quarter-finals.

All bets must be placed by 7.45pm on Wednesday.

Racing Post football expert Joe Casey has picked:

Under 3.5 goals in Dundee v St Mirren

Both teams to score in Hartlepool v Rotherham

PSG draw no bet v Real Madrid

Dundee v St Mirren

Only St Johnstone have found the net with less regularity than Dundee and St Mirren in this season's Scottish top flight so a goalfest looks unlikely in this crunch relegation battle.

Hartlepool v Rotherham

Hartlepool are in the division below Rotherham but they seem to save their best for cup competitions and both teams have found the net in Pools' last four games.

Real Madrid v PSG

PSG dominated the first leg against Real Madrid despite winning only 1-0 but could run out easier winners in tonight's second leg. Hosts Real have lost all but one of their last ten Champions League knockout ties when trailing after the first leg.

Man City v Sporting

With City 5-0 to the good after last month's first leg Pep Guardiola could take the opportunity to shuffle his pack and their clean sheet in Lisbon was their first in Europe this season.
