Match preview

Tottenham produced a four-goal second-half blitz to crush Crystal Palace 4-0 on Wednesday and they should have too much firepower for League One visitors Portsmouth in the FA Cup third round.

Antonio Conte will rest some players but he has a scarcity of attacking options and that could be bad news for Portsmouth, who may have to contend with Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son.

Kane has been the main man for Spurs this season with 16 goals, while Son, last season's Premier League Golden Boot winner, has largely struggled with form and fitness.

However, he netted the last of Tottenham's goals at Selhurst Park and he could be ready to put Portsmouth to the sword.

Portsmouth have seen their League One promotion hopes fade after one win in 14 league matches and the owners reacted earlier this week by calling time on Danny Cowley's spell in the dugout.

Caretaker-manager Simon Bassey takes charge for the trip to north London but he and his troops face a seismic task.
