Preview

The league table doesn't lie but there was enough about Group F stragglers Vitoria Guimaraes at the Emirates two weeks ago to suggest they can make it another uncomfortable outing for the beleaguered Unai Emery.

According to some reports Emery will be fired if Arsenal lose at Leicester on Saturday and the Spaniard would dearly love to head for the King Power with a win under his belt.

But that may not be as easy as it sounds.

Vitoria, bottom of the section without a point to their name, gave the Gunners the runaround for long periods in London before Emery's men were bailed out by a brace of late goals from sub Nicolas Pepe.

That match, coupled with subsequent domestic disappointments against Liverpool and Wolves and the accompanying pressure being heaped on the boss, has persuaded the layers to chalk up odds-against Arsenal in northern Portugal.

That will tempt a few but Emery will once again ring the changes with such a colossal match coming up at the weekend, although youngsters of the calibre of Joe Willock, Reiss Nelson and the prolific Gabriel Martinelli have yet to let their gaffer down when summoned for cup duties.

Teenager Martinelli has started all five cup ties for his club this season and scored seven times. Arsenal as a team have fired in 20 goals in those knockout ties.

They should, therefore, have enough firepower to eventually get the better of Vitoria, who are fifth in the Primeira Liga but some distance in terms of quality behind the levels of Portugal's big three.

They didn't find the net in their opening two group games before, perhaps unsurprisingly, finding Arsenal's defence a little more obliging.

Wolves loanee Leo Bonatini and youngster Bruno Duarte have been among the goals of late and they will get more chances.
This could be yet another high scorer.
