Rory McIlroy can dominate Baltusrol rival
The king of the USPGA Championship over the last seven years has been Rory McIlroy and the former world number one is licking his lips at the prospect of tackling his favourite event in New Jersey today.
McIlroy was third in the 2009 and 2010 USPGAs when still a Major maiden, then won the title in 2012 and 2014. He tied for eighth in 2013. The only time he has struggled in the USPGA was when he injured his wrist on the third hole of the 2011 event and finished 64th. Health was again an issue last year when he was 17th in his first outing after a ruptured ankle ligament.
McIlroy can overcome putting problems to outscore Jordan Spieth this week and 5-6 is a juicy price about that scenario.
