Match preview

Leicester are in pole position to finish top of Group G. They must at least match Braga’s result against Zorya but they can take any permutations out of the equation by beating AEK Athens.

The Foxes won their opening three group assignments, which included a 2-1 triumph in Athens, but a 3-3 draw with Braga and last week’s 1-0 slip-up at Zorya means there is still work to be done.

Qualification is secured but Brendan Rodgers will surely be seeking to finish the job by taking top spot, so a strong Leicester line-up looks likely.

Talisman Jamie Vardy, benched for the last three European games, may not be called upon but Harvey Barnes should be reinstated to the starting line-up after being an unused substitute in the recent 2-1 win over Sheffield United.

Barnes has been one of Leicester’s top performers this season, grabbing five goals in 15 appearances, and he has scored in two of the three Europa League games which he has started.

Key stat

Harvey Barnes has had more shots than any other Leicester player this season with 26, two more than Jamie Vardy.
