Verdict

Villarreal head coach Unai Emery has won the Europa League three times, all during a three-and-a-half-year spell at Sevilla, and his fabulous record in the competition augurs well for his current employers, who look a decent price to defeat Maccabi Tel Aviv in Israel.

Emery seems to fancy his chances of another shot at Europa League glory and has steered Villarreal to three victories in Group I, including a 4-0 success at home to Maccabi three weeks ago.

The La Liga side were clinical that day – converting four of their ten attempts – and looked very solid in defence.

Maccabi registered just four shots and were thoroughly outclassed although they are in a decent position with six points from three games.

The Israeli champions made a poor start to their domestic campaign, going four games without a win, and although they have posted back-to-back league victories since, they looked out of their depth at El Madrigal on matchday three and are unlikely to fare much better on home soil.

Dinamo Zagreb are top of Group K despite scoring just one goal but they can consolidate their position by defeating second-placed Wolfsberger in Austria.

The teams locked horns in the Croatian capital on matchday three and Dinamo were deserving 1-0 winners, having won the shot count eight to one.

Wolfsberger are having an inconsistent campaign, losing four of seven games in Austria's top flight, and could be exposed by rock-solid Dinamo, who are targeting a fourth successive Europa League clean sheet.
