Tuesday's betting preview

Blackpool have been dragged into the lower reaches of the Championship by three successive losses but the Tangerines can avoid defeat against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.

The second tier is a hugely competitive division and only five points separate eighth-placed Sunderland from their 19th-placed opponents.

There is not much to choose between the teams and Sunderland are short of firepower without injured strikers Ellis Simms and Ross Stewart.

Tony Mowbray's injury-hit side drew 0-0 at home to Preston on Saturday and they may struggle to overcome Blackpool, who have amassed seven of 11 points from away fixtures.

Fleetwood suffered injury-time heartache when losing 1-0 at home to Barnsley on Saturday but they look overpriced to respond with a victory at League One strugglers Burton.

The markets favour Burton, who climbed off the foot of the table on Saturday after Victor Adeboyejo's superb hat-trick sealed a 3-2 success at home to Forest Green.

But the Brewers have conceded 26 goals - the most in the division - and their defensive weaknesses can be exposed by mid-table Fleetwood, who should fancy their chances of a third league win of the campaign.

One of the biggest EFL games of the evening takes place at Home Park, where League One leaders Plymouth are decent value to topple third-placed Sheffield Wednesday.

Argyle deservedly triumphed 2-1 at home to Ipswich in their last home game and they can vanquish the Owls, who were unconvincing 1-0 winners at Port Vale on Saturday.
