Match preview

Stoke have registered back-to-back Championship victories for the first time this season and they can make it three wins on the spin by defeating Rotherham at the bet365 Stadium.

Few Potters fans were anticipating a quick revival after watching their team lose 4-0 at home to Watford earlier this month.

However, Stoke swiftly followed their worst performance of the season with one of their most resilient - a 1-1 draw at Burnley - and they added victories at home to Sheffield United (3-1) and at Preston (2-0) to revive talk of a playoff push.

The second tier is incredibly congested with only six points covering first to 15th, but 16th-placed Rotherham are thinking only about staying away from the drop zone.

The Millers were 2-1 winners at home to Huddersfield on Saturday but they remain winless on their travels and that is unlikely to change in the Potteries.

Key stat

Rotherham have not won any of their last five away fixtures.
