Sheffield United are beginning to make their presence felt in the Championship promotion race, but two of their last three games have finished goalless and another tight contest looks on the cards when they welcome Blackburn to Bramall Lane.

The Blades are unbeaten in eight league games, keeping six clean sheets in the process, and will be looking at the playoffs as their minimum target.

They were 4-0 winners at home to Swansea on Saturday but should expect a tougher challenge from third-placed Rovers, who sit four points above them having played one game more.

Blackburn are without a win in four games and must navigate the next few weeks without star striker Ben Brereton Diaz, who has sustained ankle ligament damage.

However, they battled their way to a 0-0 draw at West Brom last time out and will be hopeful of keeping things tight in Yorkshire.
