Scunthorpe paid a hefty price for a mid-season blip but a team who started 2016-17 so strongly and finished it almost as well shouldn’t be sinking without trace this time round.
Interestingly, Scunny’s title odds are the same this season as they were last time despite impressing for much of a campaign which ended in a playoff berth.
Capable boss Graham Alexander will be looking to the usual suspects – Josh Morris and Paddy Madden – for goals and they have both excelled before at this level.
