Successive defeats have seen QPR drop out of the Championship playoff places for the first time since January but the stuttering Hoops can steady the ship by holding promotion rivals Luton to a draw at Kenilworth Road.

The wind has been in Luton's sails since the turn of the year and the Hatters have taken 28 points from 13 matches.

Nathan Jones's side climbed into the playoffs after Tuesday's hard-fought 1-0 success at Coventry and should be in a confident frame of mind as they strive for a fourth successive home league win.

However, QPR are only a point below them and a free week has given Mark Warburton the chance to iron out some of the issues which contributed to last Saturday's 2-1 loss at home to Cardiff.
