Match preview

Leyton Orient and Stevenage went into Christmas as the top two teams in League Two and it could be the East End outfit who strengthen their promotion claims even further when they clash on Tuesday.

Both are on course to be playing at a higher level next season - the O's were 16 points clear of Swindon on Boxing Day morning and Stevenage enjoyed a nine-point gap.

And it is Richie Wellens' Orient, who have conceded just 12 goals this season, who should come out on top having won seven of their last eight matches.

Stevenage, who have been revitalised this term under the experienced Steve Evans, have not lost in six matches and their manager should have them fighting to the end.

However, much of their progress is down to strong form on their own patch and that should just tip things in favour of their high-flying hosts.
