After Chicago edged Detroit on Thanksgiving to go 8-3, Minnesota and Green Bay meet in Minneapolis knowing that only a win will do in their bid to reach the playoffs.

Their previous encounter this season resulted in a controversial tie when Packers linebacker Clay Matthews was penalised for roughing the passer after quarterback Kirk Cousins had just thrown an interception that would have lost the Vikings the game.

That result has served to hinder both teams and as they begin to turn their attention towards earning a wildcard spot, Green Bay are likely to create another tight affair.

The Wisconsin natives have not won a road game this season but have been involved in a number of close calls, including narrow losses to the Rams and Seahawks.

The offence continues to put up impressive numbers and the combination of Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams have proved a force to be reckoned with.

Running back Aaron Jones is in hot form with over 100 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns in his last two games.

Minnesota have been hot and cold all season and though they have the weapons on offence to put up a decent score, the Packers look good to keep pace with them.
