Derby's Championship survival hopes have receded after five losses in their last six matches and another body blow could be delivered by playoff-chasing Coventry, who look decent value to triumph at Pride Park.

Rams boss Wayne Rooney works with a small squad and the strain has shown with his team looking tired in the second half of matches.

Rooney's side are starting games with plenty of intent and have reached half-time with a clean sheet in four of their last five matches.

However, Derby have struggled to maintain their intensity and suffered a dramatic turnaround at Blackburn on Tuesday, when a 1-0 lead gave way to a 3-1 reverse.

Coventry also struggled in midweek, losing 2-0 at home to Hull, but they welcome back manager Mark Robins after his recovery from Covid and are likely to respond with a much-needed victory.
