There's no love lost between Accrington and Luton and that should lead to a spicy contest at the Wham Stadium in a crucial fixture at both ends of the Sky Bet League One table.

Accy are still involved in this epic third-tier relegation battle, while leaders Luton have been pegged back in recent weeks which should only add to the tension of a match where the odds-on visitors look a touch short.

The Hatters blew a clear lead last term when they lost out to Accrington for the League Two honours and there was no diplomacy shown by Stanley's Sean McConville. The winger admitted he had been "surprised" by Luton's form in League One as Accy "were the better team last season".

It was feisty in the reverse fixture, won 4-1 by Luton, when then Luton boss Nathan Jones admitted an altercation in the tunnel had "marred a really good game."

Jones has since left for Stoke and while Luton legend Mick Harford has done a sound job since coming in their performances have dipped recently, culminating in a first defeat in six months at Charlton last time out.

There's no crisis after one loss in 29 matches, but Town have failed to win five of their last nine fixtures with draws against Coventry, Plymouth, Gillingham and Blackpool.

Key midfielder Andrew Shinnie is suspended and striker Danny Hylton, who bagged a hat-trick in the last meeting with Accrington, is injured.

Stanley have taken points off Sunderland, Portsmouth, Charlton and Doncaster this season and could do the same to Luton.
