Livingston can show their class against Brechin

Livingston can bring more gloom to Brechin with a win at Glebe Park on Saturday.

David Hopkin's side have started this season with a bang - just the way they left off last term.

The newly-promoted Ladbrokes Championship side are unbeaten in six games and are through to the Betfred Cup quarter-finals having beaten Falkirk and drawn with Partick Thistle to get there.

Despite that tie with Falkirk going to extra-time on Tuesday, they should have too much for Brechin.

City also won promotion from Ladbrokes League One last term, but the sides met four times last season in the league and Livi won every time, conceding just once.

Brechin will face an almighty struggle to survive this season. They're out of their depth and injuries to key players including former Livingston star Liam Watt won't help.

Livi are packed full of players who should excel at this level such as Scott Robinson, Dale Carrick and Nikolay Todorov and have plenty of options. They should have enough to win in Angus.

Stirling got their Ladbrokes League Two campaign off to a decent start last week when they shocked Stenhousemuir with a come-from-behind win and they can beat Berwick at Forthbank.

Berwick beat Clyde last week at home, but the fact their keeper, on-loan Rangers youngster Robby McCrorie, was man of the match after a string of super saves told its own story.

Stirling have a squad full of experienced players this season and have been backed to have a decent campaign at fancy prices.

Callumn Morrison has started the season impressively and veteran striker Peter MacDonald remains a goal threat.

The Binos have won three in a row and can add the English side to their list of scalps.

St Mirren can win the Renfrewshire derby against Morton at Cappielow.

Morton enjoyed a great season last term before they ran out of steam in the playoffs.

They haven't clicked yet this term either, with a disappointing borefest at Dumbarton last week finishing goalless.

Saints had plenty of ante-post cash thrown at them to win the Ladbrokes Championship after a superb second half of the season which saved them from near-certain relegation.

They served notice they could be serious players this term too with last week's impressive win against Falkirk, the second favourites for the title.

They will be backed by a big support and can snatch the derby spoils.
