Day two
Sky Sports Action, 7pm Monday

Peter Wright and James Wade start their World Grand Prix campaigns on Monday but the Machine's hopes of landing a third title could go west when he takes on Steve West.

Wade is a top-quality player but he has been a long way off his brilliant best for some time and although the double-in Dublin format suits the Aldershot arrowsmith more than some of his rivals he may struggle to contain West.

West is a capable thrower and showed he can perform on the TV stage when beating Michael Smith in the World Matchplay.

The Epping man can be pretty reliable on double-top and if he can get off in decent fashion he has the ability to outscore Wade.

Mervyn King loves a bit of double-16 action and he should be backed to see off Ronny Huybrechts in comfortable fashion.

King is 51 now but he still produces quality darts on a regular basis and has a game that is suited to the double-in format.

Huybrechts is nothing more than a solid performer, who mops up after any mistakes from his opponents. He is unlikely to be able to rattle the King, who looks a tasty 13-8 shot to win 2-0.
