Chris Froome survived his second major scare of the 2016 Tour to remain on course for victory on another day of drama in the mountains yesterday.
The man in yellow was one of a number of riders to hit the tarmac on a slippery final descent, but whereas he had had to wait an eternity for a replacement bike when he came to grief in the Pyrenees eight days earlier, this time one of his loyal Sky comrades was on hand to quickly give him his machine.
