Who should win? Vote for your top jumps horse of the season

The Racing Post has once again teamed up with Sandown to host the 2016-17 Jumps Horse of the Year.

Seven horses headed by Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Sizing John and Grand National hero One For Arthur have been shortlisted, with the winner decided by a public vote before the award is presented at the season-ending bet365 Jump Finale on Saturday, April 29.

Also in the line-up are Champion Hurdle ace Buveur D’Air, star juvenile Defi Du Seuil, Cotswold Chase winner Many Clouds, King George victor Thistlecrack and Un De Sceaux, last seen running away with the Ryanair Chase at the Cheltenham Festival.

Voting closes at midnight on Monday and can be done here. All voters will be entered into a prize draw to win a pair of tickets to Sandown.

Buveur D'Air
Gave Nicky Henderson a record sixth Champion Hurdle after beginning the season over fences. Was two from two in that sphere, but connections made an inspired decision to switch back and he ran out a commanding winner of the Champion before landing the Aintree Hurdle.

Defi Du SeuilSeason started without much fanfare at Ffos Las in October, but four more victories followed before a performance in the Triumph Hurdle that left trainer Philip Hobbs drooling. Made it seven from seven for current connections when striking again at Aintree this month.

Many Clouds
The 2015 Grand National hero's campaign was mapped out around another crack at that race and he was a fluent winner at Aintree in December before repelling Thistlecrack in a thrilling Cotswold Chase at Cheltenham in January. Tragically, he cruelly collapsed and died after the line.

One For Arthur
Won a handicap at Kelso in October and December's fifth in the Becher ignited the National dream, which was fuelled by success in Warwick's Classic Chase. Backed that up by skipping around Aintree in the big one under an ultra-cool Derek Fox.

Sizing John
Bumping into Douvan's backside forced connections to have a rethink about the seven-year-old's trip and he relished stepping up for the Irish Gold Cup before confirming his status as a leading staying chaser when capturing the Cheltenham Gold Cup under man-of-the-moment Robbie Power.

Thistlecrack
Oh what could have been is what his fans will think. Dismissed stablemate Cue Card in the King George to make it four from four over fences, but was unable to match the gutsy Many Clouds in the Cotswold Chase on his last outing of the season that was cut short due to injury.

No horse on this list is as prolific as Willie Mullins' electric front-runner who has won 18 of his 23 starts, including a Tingle Creek, second Clarence House and Ryanair Chase this term to add to his 2015 Arkle victory.
