What's on this week: Saturday to savour with Wetherby, Ascot and Down Royal

Monday

Wexford's jumps card includes the Listed M.W. Hickey Memorial Chase (3.30) featuring the likes of Grade 3 winners Conflated and Eklat De Rire as well as The Big Dog, who makes his first appearance since winning the Grand National Trial at Punchestown in February.

Other action in Ireland comes from Galway on the Flat, with Leicester and Redcar staging cards in Britain. Ayr is the only jumps card of the day, with evening all-weather action coming from Newcastle.

Tuesday

The Adrian Nicholls-trained Mo Celita has already proved herself in France, having won a Listed race at Deauville in August, and will bid to repeat the feat at Chantilly in the Group 3 Prix de Seine-et-Oise (3.10) on a card also featuring the Group 3 Prix Miesque (1.25).

Patrick Mullins and Jamie Codd are among the jockeys in the Amateur Riders Derby (2.20) at the Curragh, while Catterick hosts its last Flat meeting of the year.

Jumps action comes from Wales with Chepstow and Bangor hosting eight-race cards. Paul Nicholls looks to hold a strong hand in both divisions of the maiden hurdle at Chepstow with two-time bumper scorer Mr Glass (1.20) and Stage Star (1.55), who won a bumper at the course before finishing second at Ascot and third at Aintree behind stablemate Knappers Hill. Evening all-weather action comes from Newcastle.

Wednesday

Mick Appleby's progressive Raasel is bidding for a course-and-distance hat-trick in the feature £35,000 handicap (2.15) on a seven-race card at Nottingham, with James Doyle already booked.

Jumps action comes from Fakenham and Taunton, with See The Sea and conditional Peter Kavanagh also bidding for a hat-trick in the 2m handicap hurdle (2.30) at the Somerset track.

There is also evening racing on the all-weather at Kempton and Dundalk.

Thursday

Listed action at Lingfield features as part of the all-weather championships with the Ladbrokes EBF River Eden Fillies' Stakes (2.13) and the Fleur De Lys Fillies' Stakes (3.23) on a seven-race card with nearly £150,000 prize-money up for grabs.

Other all-weather action comes from Chelmsford in the evening, which is preceded by afternoon jumps meetings at Ffos Las, Clonmel and Stratford.

Friday

The Grade 2 WKD Hurdle (2.20) and the Grade 3 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Novice Hurdle (1.45) kick off a superb two days' racing at Down Royal.

Wetherby's two-day Charlie Hall meeting begins in similar fashion with the Listed Juvenile Hurdle (2.40) and the Listed bet365 handicap chase (3.15). Grade 1-winning hurdler Ahoy Senor, who was withdrawn from his intended chase debut under rules at Carlisle last week, is entered in the 3m novices' chase (1.30).

The other jumps meeting comes from Uttoxeter with Newmarket's card headlined by the Listed Bosra Sham Fillies' Stakes (2.30). An evening all-weather meeting at Kempton completes the day.

Saturday

On a big day for champion trainer Paul Nicholls, King George winner Frodon could face Gold Cup hero Minella Indo and Cheltenham Festival winner Galvin in the Grade 1 Champion Steeplechase at Down Royal (2.50).

Last year's winner Cyrname could make his seasonal reappearance in the feature Charlie Hall Chase (3.05) at Wetherby, a card also featuring the Listed Mares' Hurdle (1.55) and the West Yorkshire Hurdle (2.30).

Jump racing returns to Ascot with the £100,000 Grade 3 Bateaux Gold Cup (3.20) headlining a seven-race card.

There are also three Listed races at Newmarket, the Montrose Fillies' Stakes (2.58), the James Seymour Stakes (3.33) and the Ben Marshall Stakes (4.08).

Evening action on the all-weather from Wolverhampton rounds off a busy day.

Sunday

The Listed Colin Parker Memorial Intermediate Chase (2.00), won by Imperial Aura last year, is the highlight of the day at Carlisle, with other jumps meetings at Huntingdon and Lingfield.

In Ireland, there is also jumping at Cork with Flat action coming at Naas.
