West hopes move can inject fresh impetus into career
One of Epsom's newest trainers is preparing to move into Thirty Acre Barn after taking a five-year lease on the yard where Geoff Lewis trained.
Adam West, who previously worked for Roger Teal, has been based at a yard behind Loretta Lodge for the past 11 months.
On Saturday night he trained his third career winner when two-year-old Bambino Lola won first time out at 25-1 at Lingfield.
"I was set up to bring young stock back to Epsom," said West. "I was head lad to Roger Teal for a long time and in two weeks' time I move back into Thirty Acre Ban, where Roger was, and Geoff Lewis.
"The owners have been very supportive and the move to Thirty Acre will be what can kick next season into a higher gear. We will move with 20 horses, there are another four coming in September and we hope to have 30 by the end of the year."
West added: "We have done a lot of refurbishment. We are taking out a five-year lease and hope to be there for a good few years more."
