Tonight's action: three runners to watch at Chelmsford
Chelmsford hosts tonight's all-weather meeting following Wolverhampton's afternoon fixture. Shown on At The Races, the first race starts at 5.45 and here are three horses worth noting
Emigrated
6.15 Chelmsford
The Derek Shaw-trained runner is seeking a hat-trick after wins on the Tapeta at Wolverhampton last month.
The five-year-old did not take especially well to a couple of attempts over hurdles earlier in the season, pulling up and finishing seventh, but he seems to have thrived now switched to the Flat on an all-weather surface.
Partnered by Patrick Mathers, who has ridden him to his last two successes, he is one to keep an eye on despite the switch to the Polytrack.
Extra Mile
7.15 Chelmsford
This four-year-old filly by Frankel has yet to shed her maiden tag with two fourths and a second to her name last year, but a mark of 78 looks fair in this 1m2f contest.
Her second behind Coconut Creme, who went on to finish second in a Listed contest at Goodwood behind Mori, reads well and she has the services of the in-form Oisin Murphy, who has ridden nine winners in the last fortnight.
Like many of Frankel's offspring, she looks likely to thrive over this 1m2f trip.
City Dreamer
8.45 Chelmsford
City Dreamer was last seen finishing sixth behind Malaya at Ascot over hurdles in March and has had a good season in that code which included victories in juvenile hurdles at Market Rasen and Plumpton in September.
The four-year-old was a two-length second on his all-weather debut at Lingfield last time out behind Author's Dream, who franked the form with another win last month. He's leniently been dropped 2lb by the handicapper and can run well again here.
